Every year we have to buy training tops, kits, balls, training equipment and goals. Christmas parties, presentation nights and End of Season parties are also funded by the club.
Pitch hire and maintenance cost over £10,000 every year. But we also have to pay afilliate to the FA and to join the York leagues – at least £1,000. Then the club has to insure everyone and to pay for tournaments, referees, coaching qualifications and safeguarding courses. Even our membermojo system for online registration has to be paid for itself. The list goes on!
We hope you can agree that our players are offered value for money. Strensall Tigers is volunteer managed by a committee. Our coaches are all volunteers. Every penny is carefully accounted for but fundraising and sponsorship are vital alongside our annual fees or the sums just would not add up. The club does its best to give the children everything they need for a safe, positive and enjoyable footballing experience.
